In five years the PPG Wave went from "Stupid, but that would be fun," to, "I will never own one." Now they regularly go for $8K-15K and I could never justify that. I even saw one in great shape for $3000 and I was tempted, but that was more than I wanted to spend. It wasn't hard to find 2.2s and 2.3s back then for around $4000. Several years ago, circa 2015 or so, I remember getting the jonesing for a PPG. Most vintage gear is going up in price, though. Just remember Reverb fees, and payment processor fees, and shipping the thing (including buying good shipping material if you do have to ship it and not just do a local pickup) add up, so the closer you are to that Reverb price the more you have to hope the items jumps in price if you're worried about reselling.

After all, if there are quite a few sales at or around 3000 Euro, then if you paid considerably less, decided you didn't like it, you know you can sell it without losing anything. Works for a popular item, though) is a decent way to judge what you could sell a synth for. To answer your question, I think looking at Reverb past sale prices (ebay too, but they don't leave listings up that long anymore, so you only can see the last few months of sales.
